In the coming three months, approximately 151,000 art objects from five external depots will be moved to the new Boijmans Van Beuningen Depot in Rotterdam and placed there in their new location.
The gigantic art move, consisting of 172 years of collecting seven centuries of paintings, drawings, sculptures, design objects and other art items, has started.
The doors of the world’s first publicly accessible art depot will open in five months, on Saturday, 6th November. Online ticket sales start a hundred days before, on 29th July.
