The foundation Delft Quality presented the 15th Delft Ceramica International Ceramics Market in the Markt in the centre of the city on 20th & 21st July.
About 60 artists who came from far and wide presented only their own work. There was a wide variety of types and styles or ceramics ranging from organically shaped pieces, raku, (garden) sculptures, figure sculptures, jewellery, pots and vases, animals and masks. All were beautifully made some exquisite, some of questionable taste.
The market opened on the Saturday morning to atrocious weather but it soon cleared and by midday it was in full swing with only a few puddles remaining and luckily they were not short of things in which to collect the drips.
