Lijm en Cultuur (Glue and Culture) is a spectacular, multi-purpose arts and culture venue based in a giant canal-side disused glue factory just down the road from the university. Its variety of spaces host concerts of all types, theatre, exhibtions conferences and much more. The huge parking area is also used for outdoor events. There is a large restaurant and seating areas for a drink or coffee.
One of the main facets of Lijm en Cultuur is L&C Labs where ideas and inspiration of all types, cultural and scientific, are discussed and developed. Delft’s world-class technical university, TU, is a near neighbour and provides input for many projects.
It has the clever idea of colour-coding its events in the programme – their own in-house productions (orange), activities organized by or with others (blue) and bought-in events (purple).
