It is with great pleasure and gratitude that we are able to announce that The Great Bean has been selected as a trial event. On 19th and 20th April 2021 you can attend the performance in Theater Rotterdam if you have a negative test result.

Vaudeville, variety shows and the magic of the circus: these are the sources of inspiration for Ed Wubbes success piece The Great Bean.
The Great Bean is set in the “roaring twenties.” The rise of Hollywood, jazz and dance styles such as tap dance and charleston set the stage for theatrical dance, circus acrobats, magic acts and a mysterious clown. The Great Bean shows an exciting world, full of glitter and glamor, but also with dark sides and hidden tragedy. The music contributes significantly to the brooding atmosphere, from swinging gypsy jazz, the mystical Peer Gynt suite to the moving songs of Billie Holiday.
Test for Access
Theater Rotterdam is participating in the Testing for Access pilot. In order to gain access to this performance, it is necessary that every visitor, in addition to being in possession of an entrance ticket, is tested within 40 hours before the start of the performance.
