How do you live on when the worst has happened? Sea Wall is an oppressive monologue written by Simon Stephens.
Alex, a successful photographer, lives with his wife and young daughter in the centre of London. They pay regular visits to his wife’s father on the south coast of France. Although they live in totally different worlds, Alex has a close relationship with his father-in-law. They talk about beer, photography and God. But then something irreversible happens.
Emmanuel Ohene Boafo will perform the monologue in English.
“Overwhelming” – de Volkskrant ★★★★
“Shattering incident under the Mediterranean sun. Ohene Boafo’s performance has a wonderful atmosphere and musicality of language” Theaterkrant
“The cheerful opening tone Ohene Boafo gives to his character Alex, a successful photographer who occasionally visits his father-in-law on the south coast of France with his wife and daughter, allows him to punch his audience full in the stomach with the dramatic twist to his story” Parool
