With more than 200 works spanning three centuries, American Photography explores the rich and multifaceted history of photography in the United States – from everyday personal moments to turning points in history, demonstrating how photography has permeated every aspect of our lives since its invention in the 19th century: in art, news, advertising and everyday life.
