Stadcocoon, the inflatable artwork installation by Florentijn Hofman in Schiedam will have extended opening hours in September. On Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th September you can visit the Stadcocoon until 7 pm, instead of 5 pm. As a bonus during this late opening, there will be live music. City organist Arjen Leistra plays the piece of music dedicated to the Stadcocoon. The half-hour live performance starts at 6pm on both days. On the website of the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam you can reserve a free entrance ticket for the Stadcocon in the Sint Janskerk. In the church you can also listen to the concert, you can enter without a ticket.
‘In this way, anyone who wants to can view and experience the work of art,’ says museum director Anne de Haij. ‘Many time slots are already sold out, so make sure to reserve a ticket quickly.’ The Stadscocon is a collaboration with the Sint Janskerk Foundation. Sunday 26th September 2021 is the last day of the exhibition.
