The largest contemporary circus festival in the Netherlands with more than 100 performances in Tilburg
Open mouths, squeezed buttocks and wide eyes. From 13th to 22nd October 2023, Festival Circolo will descend on Tilburg for emotion, daredevilry and groundbreaking performances. At the largest contemporary circus festival in the Netherlands, more than 100 performances can be seen for ten days on the cutting edge of theatre, dance, performance art and acrobatics.
After the successful move to the Spoorpark in 2022, with a large number of sold-out shows, Festival Circolo will once again pitch its tents in the green city center of Tilburg from 13 to 22 October. Visitors can discover more than 100 performances in circus tents in the Spoorpark Tilburg and halls of satellite locations Schouwburg and Concertzaal Tilburg, Hall of Fame and Theater De Nieuwe Vorst.
The common thread in the Festival Circolo program this year is ‘together’. Festival Circolo believes in a world where together is so much more than alone. A place where the strongest shoulders bear the heaviest burdens. People catch each other when they fall and rise higher when they lend each other a hand. That world exists: the circus world. More than ever, Festival Circolo wants to offer a place where people come together to celebrate their differences and share stories that everyone can relate to. In addition, the festival is committed to promoting accessibility for people living in poverty and with disabilities, as well as combating loneliness.
