Drummer Rob Kramer is a well-known musician in Delft, and throughout the Netherlands, not only for his playing but also for his Muziekschool Popta, which has been established for many years in the Poptahof social housing development in the south of the city.
The school is now undergoing some changes with a new name and new premises. Now to be known as the Kramer Music School it will be at Genestetstraat 4 in Delft, near the Koepoort Bridge.
It is hoped the re-vamped school will open on 28th August after serious soundproofing work is carried out on the new premises which is in a residential area. Rob and his wife Veronique dedicate their lives to teaching music, especially to underprivileged kids. Teaching music is a family tradition. “My father was a music teacher in secondary schools and also in Rotterdam at what is now Codarts” said Rob.
