A distinctive, contemporary literature programme is at the core of the festival with more than 100 authors live on stage each year: exciting new talent rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in writing. Crossovers with pop culture, film, art and digital culture are part of the programme with many music performances and special programmes.
Although the festival grew in size and scope it always kept the rock ‘n roll mentality from the early days and a place without borders where audience and artists can connect on- and offstage.
