Since 2013 the former power station, Energiehuis, has been operating as a multi-function performance space offering a rich and varied programme of events as well as operating as a production house and providing rehearsal space and an educational and meeting place for amateurs and professionals.
Dordrecht has a beautiful historic center and all cultural facilities are within walking distance. In addition to the many monuments that the city possesses, many old buildings with a rich past have taken on new functions thanks to creative entrepreneurs, enthusiastic residents and inspired individuals. The city council is also keen to preserve the city’s hereitage, such as the Energiehuis which dates from 1905.
