The choreography is crafted and executed exceptionally. For me, its heart resided in mastering the fluidity of movements. The show was based on how humans interact with each other in this age of rampant capitalism, to depict the utter frustration that plagues us, and what freedom from this vicious cycle looks like.

Dutch National Ballet presents MADE IN NL on tour

Nederlandse Reisopera’s ARIADNE AUF NAXOS on tour

The story is pure farce. A rich Viennese gentleman is planning a lavish soirée and has invited two different opera companies to provide the entertainment – one comedy, the other the serious Ariadne auf Naxos. The dinner is running late so there is not time for both and it is decided that the two should be combined.
