Khaled Dawwa VOICI MON CŒUR at Beelden aan Zee

It is not hard to see what inspires his imagery. In this current exhibition we see a wall of bombed-out houses – in fact, it shows a whole street that was once a community. As he explains, each house is different, originally built by the hands of its occupants and tailored to the needs of a family.

REMBRANDT OR NOT? Mauritshuis in The Hague investigates

The Mauritshuis collection contains no fewer than eleven masterpieces by the painter and seven works that were once acquired as Rembrandt, but which have now been written off or are seriously doubted. The New European Ensemble – Schönberg’s Violin Concerto on tour

Under the direction of conductor Henk Guittart, the New European Ensemble will present a fresh new version of Schönberg’s Violin Concerto, a work that has not been performed in the Netherlands since 1994. This ground-breaking piece returns, with Maria Milstein as the soloist. She is the first Dutch violinist since Jaring Walta in 1981 to take on the challenge of this virtuosic and intense work.

Art Rotterdam finds a new home at AHOY

This year’s fair seems a bit bigger and more international than in previous years and Fons Hof, Director Art Rotterdam said, “The first edition at the new location Rotterdam Ahoy will be a special experience for international collectors, art professionals, and art enthusiasts. MAMA DADA by Theater a/d Rijn / Ludwig Bindervoet

ICK / Shailesh Bahoran’s MYSTIC at Theater Rotterdam

The best word to describe the choreography would be intuitive, as it seamlessly merges contemporary, hip hop, and subtle elements of Indian classical dance. The floor work captured my heart; the transitions were so smooth, it was as if the dancers were melting into the floor – a testament to the great balance and strength they possess.
