NDT presents SWITCH ’25 at Amare in The Hague

18th January.

The dancers of NDT create their own work for charity.

Every year, the dancers of NDT 1 and NDT 2 organize Switch: a unique programme put together entirely by the dancers, the entire proceeds of which go to charity. In addition to creating and dancing the works in the performance, the dancers themselves are in charge of the production, fundraising, marketing and communication. The charity chosen by the dancers for this edition is Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

NDT1 dancer Genevieve O’Keeffe gives an update on this season’s edition on behalf of the Switch team: “While the company is slowly getting ready for the Christmas holidays, the dancers both inside and outside the studio are busy preparing for the upcoming edition of Switch ’25.

“Switch, an annual favourite in the NDT calendar, is an evening where dancers from both companies have the opportunity to present their own choreographies and raise money for a charity of their choice.

“All proceeds from this year will be donated to MSF to support their work to provide life-saving aid to people who have nowhere else to turn.

“Switch ’25 will take place in our own Amare theatre on 18th January and will show 14 new works by our own emerging choreographic voices.”
