Delft Fringe Festival is the place for new makers who are at the start of their career and want to play in the most unexpected, vibrant locations in the historic city of Delft. New makers can register for the festival from 2nd to 12th June 2022 until 31st December, 2021. All genres within the performing arts are welcome!
Who can register?
The festival wants to give (new) professional makers who want to develop artistically a place to work on their career. “We offer space to new makers who have completed an art education, are still working on it or are self-taught,” says Tamara Griffioen, programmer at Delft Fringe Festival. “All genres are welcome at the festival, from music to musical and opera, but also ballet, modern dance, drama, youth theatre, cabaret, cabaret, multimedia, live art, text theatre, clowning and circus or your own crossovers.”
Why sign up?
Delft Fringe Festival is a springboard to the large field of work. Griffioen: “You get the space to develop yourself and your performance, play at several exciting locations in the middle of the historic city of Delft (such as a mill, city farm, old cigar factory or houseboat) and receive professional guidance. Moreover, you are in direct contact with your audience.” Makers who previously performed at the Delft Fringe Festival have won prizes, such as the Ad Vinken Prize and the Leids Cabaret Festival, or are now programmed by booking agencies.
How does the registration work?
Delft Fringe Festival works with an open call, which means that from October 1 to December 31, 2021 you have the option to register for the festival from June 2 to 12, 2022.
