Is old music museum art?
It seems like a trick question. Of course the answer is yes!
Museum art represents cultural expressions that have made it into the canon: top art that fully deserves to be preserved, protected and passed on to new generations.
But the term is also sometimes used mockingly. Museum art then refers to outdated art that may be conserved, but is in fact played out in contemporary society. Art in which the fire has been extinguished.
