In mid-March, the Kijkdepot Schiedam will open in the recently restored Havenkerk in Schiedam. There, employees of the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, together with experts and the public, take a closer look at the historical collection. “We hope that people will come and have a look – corona proof – and tell their story about the objects,” says city history curator Merel van der Vaart. The Kijkdepot Schiedam will remain open from 13th March to 22nd August. The museum building is closed due to a municipal renovation, the former church is now a temporary home.
