Voorlinden is an art museum in Wassenaar. It was founded and is privately owned by Joop van Caldenborgh. It was opened on 10th September 2016 by King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
There is a brand new, state of the art gallery with its own collection and frequent exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. There are also extensive landscaped gardens near the dunes and a Dutch stately home with a restaurant. The complex also houses a shop, a library and a restoration studio.
The house, in the English style, was built as a residence in 1912. More than 100 years later the ground floor is now used for the Museum Voorlinden restaurant. Visitors without a museum ticket are also more than welcome.
