6th – 9th October.
The 14th edition of the Afrovibes Festival will take place in The Hague from the 6th until 9th of October. The festival presents young pioneers and established talent in theatre, dance, music, poetry, fashion, and design from Africa.
Afrovibes shows the dynamic cultural life in creative hubs in urban Africa. This year the focus will be on South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, and Congo.
This year, the festival’s theme is Fragile Freedom: How can we understand each other in these turbulent times?
Freedom of movement and connection with other people, regardless of color or origin, seems to have faded. Democracy seems to become fragile. Contemporary African and Dutch artists from the program will show how they’ve experienced these fierce times, how they reflect on their past and how they look towards the future.
