Opera Zuid, Dutch National Opera and Nederlandse Reisopera will present the livestream premiere of Donizetti’s ‘melodramma giocoso’ L’Elisir d’Amore on 23rd May. The companies present a new arrangement by Pedro Beriso for five soloists and twelve musicians, in a contemporary adaptation by Marcos Darbyshire. The whole is led by conductor Enrico Delamboye.
Opera Zuid, Dutch National Opera and Nederlandse Reisopera have been working together in the Dutch National Opera Studio talent program since 2018. On 20th May 2021, a long-term collaboration of the three opera companies was officially signed in Maastricht.
