KENNETH CRANHAM talks about HAROLD PINTER
DE HUISBEWAARDER (The Caretaker) is on tour throughout the Netherlands until the end of December. Kenneth Cranham is one of the British actors most associated with Pinter having appeared in six of the writer’s plays in the UK.This interview was conducted while Cranham was appearing in THE FATHER (DE VADER), to which he refers.
The Dutch production of DE HUISBEWAARDER is directed by Paul Knieriem and stars René van ’t Hof as Davies with Jan-Paul Buijs and Lowie van Oers

The annual, excellent and free DELFT JAZZ FESTIVAL runs from 23rd to 26th August while a twenty-minute tram ride away the water-bourn JAZZ IN DER GRACHT takes place in The Hague 23rd – 25th. The Hooikade will again be adorned with sailing flatboats with jazz this year at the outdoor canal-based festival gets under way. Dozens of boats, barges and other floating stage both static and moving carry musicians of all creeds and colours united under the all-embracing banner of jazz.
