INDIA DANCE FESTIVAL at the Korzo Theatre in The Hague

COLOURS OF INDIA XL at the India Dance Festival

For the second night of the Festival eighteen dance groups, local academies and Indian ex-pat communities from all over the Netherlands sent performers to the Korzo. Split into two shows it demonstrated the incredible, though not really surprising, diversity of dance in that vast country.

The first RIDCC at Theatre Rotterdam

This week marked the first Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC) which took place at the Schouwburg over three days – two days of heats and the final on Saturday. The original 320 entries from around the world had been whittled down to a short list of fifteen of whom seven made it to the grand final

CODARTS DANCE at the Korzo in The Hague

This was an impeccable performance by the thirty-five or so Codarts students we saw last night, all of whom show great promise. It is a hard, fairly short life, being a dancer, but judging from tonight’s performances, they can all be proud and take a great deal of satisfaction, knowing that it is all worthwhile.
