SAND SCULPTURE RETURNS TO THE HAGUE

Nearly finished – work in progress on one of the three sculptures

After 2018’s amazing and highly successful Sand Sculpture World Championships in The Hague they have decided to bring back a mini event with just three artists.

In front of the Escher Museum, on the Lange Voorhout, three international sand sculptors are creating work for all the world to see. Artists from England, Ireland and the Netherlands started work on Saturday, 15th June and the work is due to be completed eight days later on Sunday 23rd.

The giant works of art in sand are part of the The Hague’s annual Festival aan Zee. The three sculptures are therefore made on the themes of visual art, theater and dance.

After completion the three sand sculptures will be on view until 25th August 2019.
