A film of Scapino Ballet’s A DREAM to help us through another day

Here is Ederson Rodrigues Xavier’s film of Scapino Ballet dancing Ed Wubbe’s A DREAM in 2015 at the La La La Human Steps exhibition at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. The dancers are Bonnie Doets and Mischa van Leeuwen

Artistic leader of Scapino Ballet Ed Wubbe choreographed the legendary John Cale number A Dream, which crawls into the skin of Andy Warhol. In the song, Warhol dreams about The Factory and all the colourful figures that work there. His dream is exactly what a dream should be: strange, surrealistic, sometimes funny, but more often disturbing and even frightening. And thus Wubbe’s choreography seamlessly fits in with the theme of the Boijman’s exhibition.
