Art Rotterdam will take place this year in the spring from 19th to 22nd May in the Van Nellefabriek in Rotterdam. A shift from the familiar date at the beginning of February is necessary now that the art fair cannot take place under the current corona measures. Prospects – Mondriaan Fund shows talent moves to new date
The Prospects exhibition, a permanent part of Art Rotterdam and organized by the Mondriaan Fund, is moving to the new date. This year, Prospects shows no fewer than 89 young artists who are making a start in the art world. Due to the large number of artists, Prospects will occupy an extra space in the building opposite the entrance of the fair this year.
Fons Hof, Director of Art Rotterdam: “After we had to move to the summer due to the corona pandemic last year, we are now moving to spring. It is good to notice that all participants in the fair, including the NN Art Award as well as the participants in Rotterdam Art Week, moving with us to the new date”.

The annual Rotterdam festival for art, design and architecture lovers will also take place in the spring, during Art Rotterdam. With various fairs, special openings, exhibitions in museums and art institutions, pop-up exhibitions and Open Ateliers, each of which strengthens and enlivens the art climate in the city.
