Orange Theatre Company produces an annual season of contemporary English language plays that inspires our Dutch and international audience.

Orange Theatre Company (originally called Orange Tea Theatre) was the creation of American theatre director Lora R. Mander and English actor, writer, and director, Sam Morris. Both practitioners recognised the lack of professional English language theatre in Amsterdam and its surrounding areas.

Since its inception in 2011, Orange Tea has presented many new plays by playwrights both here and abroad. Orange Tea has been featured in the Amsterdam Fringe Festival four times, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017, and has co-produced productions featured abroad (Stag, Courtyard Theatre, London, and Since Maggie Went Away, Edinburgh Fringe Festival).

Orange Tea Theatre has been transformed into Stichting Orange Theatre Company under new leadership in 2018. Orange Theatre Company will uphold the ideals of bringing an international English-speaking community together and connect the Dutch and Internationals in a culturally relevant way.
